2020 September 19^th, under the support by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Beijing Municipal Government, led by the National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center, the China Automotive Chip Industry Innovation Strategic Alliance was formally established. November 20^th, the first council and inaugural meeting was held in Beijing.

The China Automotive Chip Industry Innovation Strategy Alliance is a cross-border integration of the automotive and chip industries, jointly formed with the upstream and downstream of the industry chain, covering relevant enterprises, universities and institutes, and industry organizations. With the operation concept of "cross-border integration, coexistence and win-win, all industries into one chain, ecology into an alliance", the alliance aims to establish the innovation ecology of China's automotive chip industry, break the industry barriers, fill the industry gaps, realize the independent and safe control, as well as the comprehensive and rapid development of China's automotive chip industry, thus to promote China to become a global automotive chip innovation highland and industry highland. The alliance will focus on the needs of automotive products through the testing and certification of automotive products, develop new products with mature or near-mature technology as early as possible; promote the application of new automotive chip products by automotive vehicle and spare parts enterprises as soon as possible, and finally to build the capacity of independent core technology for Chinese automotive products.
